Motif #7 of 25 - Christmas Tatting

Here is the only Christmas ornament I tatted. The first branch & the trunk are a wee wonky. I'll do another one, since that was the first time I worked the pattern. It's going to my sister, who I know didn't set up a tree this year. Everyone needs a Christmas tree on Christmas!! The pattern is from Be-stitched.com

Great tatted tree! I want to tat one too. Thanks for linking to the pattern.

Happy holidays!

Very nicely done! I'm also delighted you linked to the pattern by Nancy Tracy at her web site bestitched.com. I've seen this tree on others' blogs and possibly printed the pattern at one time, but I'd have to look for it. Now I don't have to!

Also - thanks for the info on cleaning the giant satellite dishes. Too bad we can't 'rotate' our own small TV sat dish up on the roof! We just have to wait for the snow to fall off, unless we want to throw snowballs at it!

Hope you have a nice holiday!

I ♥ this particular Christmas tree pattern! I think it's my fave of all the tatted Christmas tree patterns out there. I just think it's pretty! You did a nice job!

Yes, as Kathy said, thank you for linking to the pattern! I already have the link in my "Tatting Patterns I'm Gonna Tat" list, but it's such a good habit to have in blogging. It's so considerate.

That is a CUTE little tree! Your sister will love it! Does she make any Christmas quilts or wall hangings? Just thinking this little guy would be sweet for a project like that.

Thanks everyone! I think the next tree I do will have beads in it, although this tree is lacey & lovely without any additions to it.

Yes, Ann, my sister is a quilter. I kind of dropped a hint to her when I visited that tatting looks great on quilt blocks. LOL!

My first one was wonky too ~ LOL When you use beads on the second one make sure they aren't too large. I wanted green tree with all white pearl balls...but size 6 is too big for a the tree I tatted in size 50 thread.
